Description
U Rundo Ulivo is conveniently located close to the Ligurian mountain wine village of Gazzelli, where you can relax away from the bustle of your usual routine. This well-appointed holiday apartment sleeps four and comprises a large, modern fitted kitchen cum sitting room with a sofa bed, a bedroom and a bathroom. The patio is the ideal place to round off the day with a glass of fine wine, or if you prefer you can swim a few lengths of the pool to cool off. You can also undertake various hikes or cycle rides from Gazzelli, through the lush olive groves and right up into the Alpine foothills. And should the fancy take you, you can sample the locally grown wine and olive oil. The landlord of the property is himself one of the growers, and if you\\\'re interested in how the olive oil is processed, you will certainly be welcome to pay a visit to his oil mill, which will be an enjoyable, interesting time thoroughly well spent.

The ancient town of Chiusanico lies on a ridge, where oak and chestnut woods alternate with hills covered with olive groves. According to a tradition that is corroborated by some researchers, this was the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, although there is no general agreement among historians.
During mediaeval times, Chiusanico was the main centre in the Monte Arosio territory, which was dominated by the Clavesana family.Some portals and buildings at Castello date back to the thirteenth century, such as the single-nave church of San Lorenzo. The church of Santo Stefano dates from later times and still has some splendid eighteenth-century polychrome marble work; it was rebuilt in neo-classical style by the architect Gaetano Cantoni. Inside the church, you can admire a painting of Santo Stefano by Giulio De Rossi (1579).
The masterpiece of Chiusanico, however, is to be found in the parish church of Gazzelli: this is a priceless painting attributed to Domenico Piola showing the Virgin Mary visiting Elisabeth (early seventeenth century).
Torria also offers some works of art that are well worth seeing: the drinking-trough beneath a sixteenth-century loggia, a bas-relief dated 1477 in the parish church of San Martino, the oratory of the Disciplinati della Santissima Annunziata and the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve. This district is the venue for a biennial photography competition; the sports complex is equipped for fencing competitions. You can take the path leading from an ancient stone wash-house in Torria and make your way up to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve and, passing through the woods, continue on to the San Giacomo pass and Monte Arosio. The industrial and commercial municipality of Chiusanico is well known for its superior quality olive oil and its classic Pigato and Vermentino wines.

Mehr Schüsseln und größere Pfannen wären von Vorteil, sowie ein bis zwei scharfe Messer. Desweiteren weichere größere Kissen. Alles o.k. Es war wie immer ein erholsamer Urlaub. DANKE

Man sollte sich im Ort eine gute Pizza suchen, in Imperia, war ein sehr gutes Restaurant, (Matama, braceria, Calata Cuneo 13, Imperia,tel: 0183-449947, sehr nett, sprechen Englisch sehr zuvorkommend! Preise angemessen! Super Fleisch und Fisch! Wir fanden die 7 Tage in Gazelli wirklich schön, die Adressen die angegeben wurden auf den Touristen Infos waren leider teilweise schlecht zu finden aber trotzdem alles in allem war es ein super schöner Urlaub, das wir mit unseren kleinen Hunden keine Probleme hatten war echt super!! Auch die anderen Menschen dort waren sehr nett, die Appartments sind schön gross und ausreichend wir werden wieder kommen ganz bestimmt! sehr, sehr tolles Land und Leute!

Die Ausstattung ist gut die Terasse ist wunderschön. Die Terasse von MIMOSA ist tagsüber praktisch nicht nutzbar, weil es viel zu heiß ist. Hier fehlen schattenspendende Bäume wie bei OLIVO wir haben wenig Ausflüge gemacht, da es sehr heiß war, die Beschreibung war für uns ausreichend

Verbesserungsvorschläge: Für die heißen Sommermonate wäre eine Klimaanlage von Vorteil Stabilere Gartenstühle :-) Hinauf in die Berge fahren,allerdings sollte man die mittelalterliche Grafschaft,dessen Name mir nicht mehr einfällt,nicht mit dem Auto durchfahren,außer man besitzt ein Miniauto :-)

All the equipement we required was there. It would be very difficult to make it much better. I would recoomend trying the many restaurants around the old port area in Imperia for a taste of genuine ligurian food. I have found the service and effiency of BlumenRiviera to be one of the best I have every used and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ausstattung sehr gut, Sonnenschirm leicht defekt Imperia Hafen, Strand Diano Marina, Ortschaft Torria (sehr enge und verwinkelte Gassen) Wir waren überaus zufrieden. Wenn die Mängel insbesondere in der Küche abgestellt werden, kommen wir evtl. gerne wieder.

La television etait un peu petite. parfait. Site ideal tout pres de Imperia, une tres belle ville, pas loin Sanremo, et apres Ventimiglia, vous avez beaucoup d'endroits a visiter et des tres bons restaurants.

Schirme und Liegestühle erneuern. Einkaufsmöglichkeit: Supermarkt Bennet (auch Sonntags) Strand: Diano Marina besser als Imperia Hinweis auf Staugefahr in Italien wäre hilfreich ! Bei der Anreise zu Beginn der bayerischen Pfingstferien (Samstag) haben wir für die Strecke von Genua bis Imperia fast 6 Stunden gebraucht !
